Breath, Body, and Mind training for modern humans.

in Essex, London, and Online

You sit more than any generation before you, breathe faster and shallower than your body was built for, and all the while your attention is being bought and sold by the minute.

None of this is optimal for a human, and all of it is correctable.

Modern living leads us to believe that our minds and bodies are mysterious and that we have to trust a professional with how to take care of them.

We believe that everyone has the power to understand and build relationship with their own body, as well as take responsibility for it.

The methods come from two places: contemplative traditions that have studied the human for over two thousand years, and modern movement and pain science. We teach what works, and we'll tell you why it works so you won’t need us.

The Labs.

Focused workshops on the parts of you that modern living punishes most. Hips, backs, necks and shoulders.

Strength first, as tightness usually needs support. Then mobility, so the range you gain is range you can control.

You test yourself at the start and again at the end, so you can see and feel what changed.

Humans at Work.

Long hours at a screen mean long hours in one position, and how long someone holds a position is what adds up.

We teach people to manage their own bodies through the day, and every engagement starts and ends with the Capacity Check, so you can see what the budget bought.

Workshops from £650. Programmes and retainers too.

If you still have any questions, or not sure where to start

  • I came with my sister who's been suffering for ages. To be fair I wasn't expecting much from 90 mins but that exercise sitting on the floor with both legs bent at right angles was harder than it looked. My physio told me something similar years ago about my glutes so nice to finally get what he meant.

  • Loads of info to take in, brain felt more tired than my body by the end! My hips feel pretty good though. Thanks again.

    - Dan W.

  • I always assumed my hips were just naturally tight and there wasn't much to do about it at my age. Testing the range as we practiced showed me where the dead spots were, and two weeks of the home routine gave me back a more comfortable squat.

    - Sara L.

  • My hip mobility always felt fine until I tried moving under my own power at the very bottom of a lunge. Testing that gap on a tired hip at the end of class was an eye-opener.. it showed me why my hips always felt exhausted after a long run. The home drills are ace, and my stride feels completely different now.

    - Claire H.

  • Bit early to say if it's completely fixed my back after five years of it being bad, but it didn't make it worse which I was worried about. Mark explained things really down to earth without any of the usual nonsense. Slept okay last night for once too.
